Jazz Cartier – Set Fire (Dir. Aaron A.) [Video] #SOTD

Toronto, ON – So Marauding In Paradise is sure to be one of the hottest mixtapes coming out of Canada this fall. Why? Well Jazz Cartier (of Get Home Safe) has just released the fresh new visuals for his single, “Set Fire,” directed by hit Toronto vet Aaron A. Check that out and you’ll already have a good feel for what the hype is about. The song (and Get Home Safe movement) have already received co-signs from Toronto royalty (Kardinal Offishall) and caught the attention of some of hip-hop’s biggest voices (Complex).
Today we present you with “Set Fire” as our Song of the Day, and an assurance that you won’t be disappointed. The Lantz-produced banger is just a taste of what’s to come from the young Toronto MC. As Noisey put it, “‘Set Fire’ is the best use of (Canadian) government money since OVO Fest.
If you’re not familiar with Get Home Safe, you can find out more about the crew by partying with them inside The Palace, located in Toronto’s distinctive Kensington Market neighbourhood. They refer to it as their home base and Jazz even makes friendly reference to in the first 4 bars: “Come to The Palace but don’t be a stranger, your girlfriend’s a regular.”
