Lord Lhus doesn’t pull any punches with this unforgiving diss track.
After his initial shots with the previous disstrack “Shots”(read about that here), Lhus reloaded and fired off another one just this past week. This time focused exclusively on the large-and-in-charge Vancouver emcee, you can really feel the animosity within the tracks lyrics (e.g. How you walk around with grace?/Your skin really lookin like its fallin off ya face/ Lose some fuckin’ weight//).
The video production is nice aside from the odd slightly unfocused shot on a close up. It consists of a lot of fast paced shots of Lhus looking mean and a parody of Merkules stuffing his face constantly. Combined with the malevolent lyrics and hard beat produced by Tommy Vamoz, the content fulfills it’s intent: making Merkules look ridiculous.
It will be interesting to see where the road goes from here in regards to the issues between the two emcees. Rumours of dispute have been circling the internet for the past weeks, and this video provides interesting testament towards that idea. More to come this weekend.
